Construction and execution
They are resistors made with aluminum enclosures with or without integrated heat sink, which can be mounted using side or end holes or dedicated supports.The construction of these resistors involves the insertion of resistive spirals in special ceramic parts. The elements thus obtained are then assembled in the relative enclosures, filled with a suitable inorganic filler resistant to temperatures above 450°C.
These types of resistors have a high level of environmental protection (IP53/IP55) and can be equipped with a thermoswitch, which can be positioned both externally and/or internally in the aluminum housing.
The characteristic application of this family of resistors is braking.
